Smooth Sock Mini - Twig

The Uncommon Thread

Smooth Sock Mini - Twig

Approx 20g – 75% superwash Blue Faced Leicester wool, 25% nylon
85m (93yds) per 20g – Fingering weight

Smooth Sock is the non-identical twin of Tough Sock - thinner and taller at 425m per 100g skein. With a high nylon content and the long staple of Blue Faced Leicester wool, this yarn will make super durable socks (or whatever else you may choose to knit with it). It will definitely take a beating!

Although we recommend hand-washing to prolong the life of your knits, this yarn may be machine washed on a gentle wool cycle, then laid flat to dry.

As with other hand dyed yarns, we would recommend alternating skeins every two rows or so.

We care deeply about the environment and we're aware of the effects that chemicals can have on it, so we make every effort to exhaust all dyes in the dyebath so that no nasties go down the plughole. It is not always possible to exhaust *all* the dye, all the time, especially with certain dyeing techniques, so if you are intending on using your yarn for colourwork or with paler colours it pays to give it a wash first, just to be sure.

We try to ensure all colours look true on our monitor but they can vary substantially. If you’re unsure about a particular colourway please get in touch!
