Damask is a gorgeous stranded wrap pattern designed by Dee Hardwicke.
The kit comprises 24 mini skeins (20g/80m) of BFL Singles in the same 11 colours Dee used to create her wrap. She is a master of colour combination and worked with many of our colourways to create her finished wrap.
You will receive the following number of mini skeins:
3 Tea Smoked, 3 Wilted Rose, 2 Hemlock, 3 Golden Praline , 2 Grass Is Always Greener, 2 Bloom, 2 Blood Orange, 2 Vintage Modern, 2 Olive Leaf, 2 Envy and 1 Julep.
Please note the kit is for yarn only. You'll need a copy of the pattern, which can be purchased from Dee's Ravelry or Etsy stores.
20% VAT will be charged on parcels being sent within the UK. For US, customs/tariff charge is included in the shipping costs. For EU countries, it will be sent VAT free with customs payble on arrival.
Approx 20g superwash Bluefaced Leicester wool yarn
80m (87yds) per 20g – fingering to light fingering weight
With its long staple fibre, BFL makes for a more durable singles yarn. Unlike most worsted spun superwash yarns, our BFL Singles has a crunchy, wooly-wool hand with a slight halo, though it knits up amazingly soft. The kinks even up beautifully with knitting. As with other singles yarns, I would knit this up at a tighter gauge for items that will take a lot of wear.
Although we recommend hand-washing to prolong the life of your knits, this yarn may be machine washed on a gentle wool cycle, then laid flat to dry.
As with other hand-dyed yarns, we would recommend alternating skeins every two rows or so.
We care deeply about the environment and we're aware of the effects that chemicals can have on it, so we make every effort to exhaust all dyes in the dyebath so that no nasties go down the plughole. It is not always possible to exhaust *all* the dye, all the time, especially with certain dyeing techniques, so if you intend on using your yarn for colourwork or with paler colours it pays to give it a wash first, just to be sure.
We try to ensure all colours look true on our monitor but they can vary substantially. If you’re unsure about a particular colourway please get in touch!
