Corriedale - Carmine

The Uncommon Thread

Corriedale - Carmine

Approx 100g – 100% corriedale wool
400m (440yds) per 100g – fingering weight

This lustrous and resilient wool makes for a slightly more rustic yarn than that of merino or BFL, but it makes up for it in character. It's still next to the skin soft and can be used for all manner of items. This non-superwash, 2-ply yarn is spun in the UK in small quantities. As such, we would appreciate your patience if it takes a little longer to fulfil your order.

Handwash cool, lay flat to dry.

20% VAT will be charged on parcels being sent within the UK, EU VAT at your country's rate

As with other hand dyed yarns, we would recommend alternating skeins every two rows or so.

We care deeply about the environment and we're aware of the effects that chemicals can have on it, so we make every effort to exhaust all dyes in the dyebath so that no nasties go down the plughole. It is not always possible to exhaust *all* the dye, all the time, especially with certain dyeing techniques, so if you intend on using your yarn for colourwork or with paler colours it pays to give it a wash first, just to be sure.

We try to ensure all colours look true on our monitor but they can vary substantially. If you’re unsure about a particular colourway please get in touch!
