Lightweight Fusible Interfacing

Sold by the quarter metre.

Especially soft and lightweight interlining for small parts as well as front parts of jackets etc. Vilene/Vlieseline H180 Lightweight is a non-woven fusible interfacing for light clothing application. Perfect for use with the front of jackets and jacket components made from lightweight or medium weight fabric. Comfortable to wear. Strong yet flexible feel.

This is our preferred interfacing for most of our fabrics. The only fabrics we would not recommend it for are the twills or the stretch fabrics.

Instructions:
1. Place the Vilene H180 interfacing with the coated side on the wrong side of the fabric.

2. Then using dry heat glide the iron firmly 5-6 times very slowly over each area of the insert, so that each area receives approx. 8 seconds of heat (iron setting: silk/wool).

3. Allow the pieces to cool flat for about 20 minutes, so that the adhesive can set properly. We strongly recommend that you attach a small piece of interfacing to a fabric remnant with your iron first to make sure that the hold and the adhesion meet your expectations. We recommend to test the products before processing!

As with other hand dyed yarns, we would recommend alternating skeins every two rows or so.

We care deeply about the environment and we're aware of the effects that chemicals can have on it, so we make every effort to exhaust all dyes in the dyebath so that no nasties go down the plughole. It is not always possible to exhaust *all* the dye, all the time, especially with certain dyeing techniques, so if you are intending on using your yarn for colourwork or with paler colours it pays to give it a wash first, just to be sure.

We try to ensure all colours look true on our monitor but they can vary substantially. If you’re unsure about a particular colourway please get in touch!
