The Uncommon Thread

Linum - Citrus Peel

Approx 100g – 50% baby alpaca, 25% silk, 25% linen
400m (440yds) per 100g – fingering weight

A summery light yarn. As the linen is a vegetable fibre that does not absorb the dyes we use, it produces an interesting heathered effect. It would be great worked into lightweight tops for the warmer months, but it’s suitable for all kinds of great stuff!

Handwash cool, lay flat to dry.

20% VAT will be charged on parcels being sent within the UK, EU VAT at your country's rate

As with other hand dyed yarns, we would recommend alternating skeins every two rows or so.

We care deeply about the environment and we're aware of the effects that chemicals can have on it, so we make every effort to exhaust all dyes in the dyebath so that no nasties go down the plughole. It is not always possible to exhaust *all* the dye, all the time, especially with certain dyeing techniques, so if you intend on using your yarn for colourwork or with paler colours it pays to give it a wash first, just to be sure.

We try to ensure all colours look true on our monitor but they can vary substantially. If you’re unsure about a particular colourway please get in touch!
