Swatch Gauge

These handy square tools are used for measuring gauge swatches knit or crocheted in any type of yarn. Simply hold the tool up against your work and count how many stitches fit inside the cut out square (along the bottom for stitch gauge and up the side for row gauge). The bottom measurements are in inches and centimeters are marked on the left side, making this ruler universal for all fibre artists.

Product Details:

Material: Domestic Cherry
Approximate Size: 2.5" x 2.5" x 1/8" w/ a 2"/ 5cm square cut out

Because they are made of a natural material, the appearance of each tool may slightly vary.

As with other hand dyed yarns, we would recommend alternating skeins every two rows or so.

We care deeply about the environment and we're aware of the effects that chemicals can have on it, so we make every effort to exhaust all dyes in the dyebath so that no nasties go down the plughole. It is not always possible to exhaust *all* the dye, all the time, especially with certain dyeing techniques, so if you are intending on using your yarn for colourwork or with paler colours it pays to give it a wash first, just to be sure.

We try to ensure all colours look true on our monitor but they can vary substantially. If you’re unsure about a particular colourway please get in touch!
