PRE-ORDER - Aika Yarn Kit

This gorgeous pattern, designed by Megumi Shinagawa, will be available in the Autumn '24 editition of Laine magazine. Please note: you will need to purchase the magazine to access the pattern, the listing is for the yarn only. Cloud Fingering tends to dye paler and softer than most other yarns, so bear this in mind when choosing your colour as the colour sample photos have been dyed in a different yarn.

Aika is a beautiful long-sleeved lace pullover with a relaxed but elegant fit. It is knitted in a loose gauge, making it a versatile, easy-to-style piece for any occasion.

The original pullover, shown in the magazine, was knit in colourway Anko.

Recommended ease: 6–12" / 15–30 cm of positive ease.

Finished Measurements

Chest Circumference: 40 (44, 48, 52, 56) (60, 64, 69, 74)" / 100 (110, 120, 130, 140) (150, 160, 175, 188) cm.

Kit Sizes
You will receive 2 (2, 2, 2, 2) (2, 3, 3, 3) skeins of Cloud Fingering in the colourway of your choice (select from the drop down menu)

Please note that the kit is for the yarn only. You'll need a copy of Laine Magazine issue 22 (available in the autumn) to knit this pattern. 

As with other hand-dyed yarns, we would recommend alternating skeins every two rows or so.

We care deeply about the environment and we're aware of the effects that chemicals can have on it, so we make every effort to exhaust all dyes in the dyebath so that no nasties go down the plughole. It is not always possible to exhaust *all* the dye, all the time, especially with certain dyeing techniques, so if you intend on using your yarn for colourwork or with paler colours it pays to give it a wash first, just to be sure.

We try to ensure all colours look true on our monitor but they can vary substantially. If you’re unsure about a particular colourway please get in touch!
