Shadow Jacquard Cotton

Price is per QUARTER metre. For example, if you require 1.5 metres, you’ll need to enter 6 in the quantity box. Fabric will be supplied in one continuous length.

A pale blue/grey shade. This layered cotton has a jacquard weave that gives it a quilted look and feel. The Shadow colourway is a soft grey with a green tinge.

The reverse is a gauzy cotton, there is no batting in the middle of this cloth, the inside is made up of a series of thicker yarns which gives it the quilted feel. The top is a fine cotton. If possible we would advise overlocking your raw edges before sewing to prevent fraying.

We can see this being used for throws, quilts, quilted jackets, oversized cushions, and smaller cosmetic bags.

100% BCI cotton. (The Better Cotton Initiative is a global not-for-profit organisation and the largest cotton sustainability programme in the world.)

120cm wide.

This fabric is prewashed.

Made in India.

There may be some white slubs throughout the cloth, these are not flaws.

We recommend not using this for something that will sit in direct sunlight.

This is only produced in 5m pieces, if you order over 5m it will not be sent in a continuous piece.

Wash cool. Do not tumble. Shake out and dry flat. Iron cool.

There will be colour variations between rolls. There may also be colour graduation over the piece.

As with other hand dyed yarns, we would recommend alternating skeins every two rows or so.

We care deeply about the environment and we're aware of the effects that chemicals can have on it, so we make every effort to exhaust all dyes in the dyebath so that no nasties go down the plughole. It is not always possible to exhaust *all* the dye, all the time, especially with certain dyeing techniques, so if you are intending on using your yarn for colourwork or with paler colours it pays to give it a wash first, just to be sure.

We try to ensure all colours look true on our monitor but they can vary substantially. If you’re unsure about a particular colourway please get in touch!
