We’re hiring! (Again, as of 14 April 2016)
We are looking for a flexible, reliable and self-motivated person to join our small team as a Dyeing Assistant at our studio in central Hove.
- starting straight away
- initially part-time 2-3 days per week, with a view to increasing to full-time
- remuneration: £7.20 during the training period, increasing to £8.25 afterwards
Your main task will be dyeing yarn (following set proprietary formulae). No previous dyeing experience is necessary, as full training will be provided. As a member of a small, growing business you will be expected to be a team player and help with other tasks when necessary. You need to be a hard working, meticulous perfectionist for this role, as we have very high standards at TUT HQ! Additionally, you should feel happy to work unsupervised (once training is over) and comfortable working on your own occasionally.
Please note that dyeing is physically hard work so a good level of health and fitness is necessary. You will be required to do a fair bit of heavy lifting and be on your feet a large portion of the day. Our studio is not centrally heated and can get pretty cold in the winter. On the plus side you get to stroke yarn and play with colour all day long! We also offer discount on yarn to our staff and are pretty laid back – we listen to music and chat while we work. Our studio is also well located for public transport.
